Given the operating hours, it is recommended to replace the roller bearings preventively. In addition, the shaft seals showed leaks.
After disassembly on the floating crane, the gearboxes were dismantled and inspected in our workshop. In addition to the standard wearing parts, a number of damages appeared.
Bearing fits in the housing are out of tolerance and some teeth parts show signs of use.
After machining the housings, the teeth and adjusting damaged shaft fits, the gearboxes were mounted. Various modifications have been made.
A test run was carried out in the workshop to ensure that the gearboxes function correctly. New drum couplings were then mounted on the output shafts.
Once back on the floating crane, the gearboxes were put into operation again.
