In addition to the visual inspection, a handheld analysis device was also used. In combination, we have been able to correspond and link the vibration to the speed of 1 shaft. Because the cause was quickly found, the repair could then be carried out immediately.
A loose PTO gearwheel was causing the vibration. Gearwheel bore and shaft fitting were repaired with class approval.
The vessel was eventually able to quickly return to sea and resume the journey with only a minor delay.
