Cutter suction dredger bearings

For a new cutter suction dredger CSD 850 our customer required a drive shaft. Boone was requested to deliver several components among which 4 sliding bearings.

These specially designed bearings with a weight of 2,500 kg each are suitable for a cutter shaft bearing of Ø 600 mm with a radial torque of 1,100 kN.

Due to the special bronze alloy, these sliding bearings are extremely suitable for use under extreme conditions, such as ingress of seawater or poor lubricant performance.
