P=2 x 1350 kW at 600 rpm.
During the 4-week docking period, Boone dismantled and checked the propulsion gearboxes. The teeth have been checked and reground where necessary and the slide bearings have also been checked. Eight slide bearings have been provided with white metal and machined to the correct dimensions.
After mounting the slide bearings and shafts with gears, all clearances and gear positions have been checked and found to be in order.
Both gearboxes were tested and accepted by the customer to complete satisfaction.
