The following gearboxes were overhauled by Boone for this cutter suction dredger:
Cutterhead gearbox
Dredge pump gearbox
Hydraulic unit
Generator gearbox
During the docking period of 6 weeks, Boone dismantled and inspected all gearboxes. The teeth have been checked and bearings and seals have been renewed.
The cutterhead gearbox is also equipped with a modified seal on the output shaft to achieve a better underwater sealing. After mounting the slide bearings and shafts with the gearwheels, all tolerances and teeth contact patterns have been checked.
After approval, trial run has been executed successfully and the units were delivered.
