Van Oord - Boone gearbox

Overhaul Boone gearbox, type 4A 40 So

Following an inspection carried out on board, it was decided to completely overhaul the gearbox. The gears and bearings were damaged due to a lubricating oil problem.  

In addition to replacing bearings and seals, all gears have also been replaced. And the gearbox housing has been adjusted.  

Boone completed the repair in 4 weeks. After the overhaul, the gearbox was taken to the test stand by the customer. After this, the gearbox was dispatched by airfreight to the cutter suction dredger to be installed.
