The thrusters beneath the ship are driven by these new gearboxes. Boone was asked to develop a gearbox that could create a distance in terms of height.
During development several modifications were made. The gearbox now has multiple PTO connections and is equipped with a hydraulic clutch coupling. This coupling can operate in slip mode, to enable a DP2 positioning of the ship.
