The reverse reduction gearbox was dismantled from board and brought to the Boone workshop for further inspection and repair. The damaged parts were replaced by spare parts from stock. All bearings and seals were replaced, as well as all pressure springs and clutch plates. The gearbox housing was machined at the position of a bearing seat.
Boone performed the complete inspection and repair in just two weeks.
After the assembly and test run in our workshop, the service engineers of Boone assembled and aligned the gearbox on board the vessel.
