Rhenania ALN 71 propulsion units

Boone has overhauled both the port and starboard propulsion gearboxes for an existing hopper dredger.

Overhaul Rhenania gear units

The pneumatic Stromag couplings have been overhauled and provided with with new elements, seals, friction lining and bearings.   

The Rhenania gearboxes type ALN 71 are equipped with new bearings and seals. No major damage or wear was revealed during this standard overhaul.  

After the overhaul of the gearboxes and mounting on board, the propeller shafts were connected and the couplings were attached to the engines. After a succesfull test run the units were delivered to our customer.
